What’s new at The First Tee of New Zealand

First Tee Graduate Makes the PGA Tour

First Tee graduate Scott Langley is the first graduate from the programme to make it onto the PGA tour.

"There's a synergy between golf and life that comes together at The First Tee," said Langley, 23. "I'm happy to be the face of The First Tee on Tour and if I can have a little bit of influence of kids, that's great. I was in their shoes not long ago, trying to pursue my dreams."

Greg Norman Gala Dinner

Greg Norman visited New Zealand in December 2012 for the first time since 1976.

Prizegiving 2012

World No. 1 Amateur Lydia Ko was guest of honour at The First Tee Prizegiving on Thursday 20th December 2012.

Book Promotion

John Hanlon has made copies of his book "Golf, a Course in Life" available to The First Tee at very special pricing. RRP is $39.95, but you pay only $25 per copy for this beautifully presented collection of stories describing golf as a metaphor for life. "Golf, A Course in Life". Every sale is a $10 donation to The First Tee.

Research Validates

In a past independent research study of The First Tee, 73% of young people at participating chapters reported high confidence in their ability to do well academically and 52% credited the program fort their ability to appreciate diversity.
